Bielefeld clock

You've come to right place if you are looking for a vintage clock to impress your family and friends. Bielefeld clocks offer a fine example of gothic fretwork. The Bielefeld clock requires only a clock mechanism, hands and a few other components. The clock's construction is straightforward and allows you to use wood that is between one-quarter- and one eighth inch thick. You can also change the dimensions of the compartments and dials as you need.

The Bielefeld clock is one of the most unique examples of the type of art work found in many German towns. This city, which dates back to the 9th Century, is home to a medieval university and fort. However, the Bielefeld marketing team is trying to dispel a conspiracy theory which has been around for over 25 years. The conspiracy theory was started by a student who posted a message on Usenet in 1994. Usenet is a German version the internet. This message spread quickly, becoming widely known, even though it was only a very small area of the internet at the time.

Ingolf Haas clock

Founded more than 100 years ago in Schonach, Germany, Rombach & Haas manufactures fine cuckoo clocks. Ingolf Haas & Conny Haas have twelve employees working in the company's former workshops. The floorboards and workbenches are from the time of the founders, which is a testament to the company's respect for tradition. Ingolf Haas fretwork alarm clocks are among the best examples of its type.

Ingolf Haß' workshop has been a tradition in the area for over 150 year. His cuckoo clocks remain among the most beautiful and accurate timepieces available today. This timepiece is VDS certified and features intricate fretwork carving. With a single wind, the clock can run for up to eight days. A rare find, the clock's original Ingolf Haas design still evokes an old-fashioned English cottage.

How To

How to make wood joint

This tutorial will demonstrate how to join two pieces together of wood. We'll use the "pocket hole joint," which means we drill holes in the wood and then glue them together. If your wood has a straight grain, smooth surface, you can use this method. Try dowel joinery instead if your wood doesn't look straight. Here are the steps

  1. Drill Pocket Hole Joints. First, measure the area where you wish to place the pocket joint. Use a jigsaw or handheld drilling machine to drill 3/8 inch deep holes at the ends of each wood piece.
  2. Sand Smooth. The wood's edges can be sanded to prevent splitting.
  3. Glue the two sides of the wood together. Apply glue to both the ends of the wood. Allow the wood to rest for five minutes before clamping it together.
  4. Connect the pieces. After the glue has dried you can attach the pieces to form a flush joint.
  5. Trim Joinery. After the glue dries completely, trim off any excess wood around the joint.

To be able to turn the pieces inside-out, leave enough room between them.
