How to make wood joint

This tutorial will show how to join 2 pieces of wood together. We'll use the "pocket hole joint," which means we drill holes in the wood and then glue them together. If your wood is straight and flat, this method will work well. Dowel joinery might be a better option if your wood is not straight or flat. Here are the steps

  1. Drill Pocket Hole Joints. Start by measuring and marking the spot where the pocket hole joint will be placed. Next, drill 3/4 inch holes in each end of each piece using a handheld drilling machine or jigsaw.
  2. Sand Smooth. The wood's edges can be sanded to prevent splitting.
  3. Glue both sides together. Apply glue to both ends of the wood. Allow it to cool for at least 5 minutes before you attach the pieces.
  4. Connect the pieces. After the glue has dried completely, you can clamp the pieces together until they are flush.
  5. Trim Joinery. After the glue dries completely, trim off any excess wood around the joint.

Allow enough space between pieces so you can turn them inside out.
